Permit issued by Department of Labor Invalid and Social Affairs of HCMC to conduct crewing support services
As from November 2017, UT-STC is a Marlins Approved Test Center (ATC) as well as a center for Marlins TOSE tests (Test of Spoken English).
This TOSE test is a standardised interview format for assessing the speaking and listening skills of all ranks and nationalities of seafarers.
Used as a stand-alone product, it provides a thorough assessment of the seafarer's ability to understand and speak English.
Used in conjunction with Marlins English language test, it provides a complete profile of the seafarer's language proficiency.
The TOSE test exists for Seafarers, Cruise Ship Staff and Offshore Workers.
At UT-STC the following tests can be conducted :
- ISF Marlins English Language Test for Seafarers;
- Marlins English Language Test for Cruise Ship Staff;
- Marlins English Language Test for Offshore Workers;
Upon completion of such test an (approved) Marlins certificate will be issued by UT-STC.
This certificate is accepted by flag state authorities as a proof of language proficiency.
Please contact UT-STC for more information and an appointment.
